A Greenville man is facing felony charges after he allegedly broke into a Summer Place home and stole more than $1,300 worth of clothing and electronics.

Tyquan Montelrio Maye, 23, of 1305 Hillsdale St., is charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and misdemeanor resisting public officer in connection with a break-in at an apartment at 3214 Summer Place.

The incident occurred at 6:33 p.m. Thursday. The rear door of the home was forced open, according to a Greenville Police Department case report.

Several items were reported stolen, including Nike AG boots, two pairs of blue jeans, a Chicago Bulls red shirt, four ball caps, three pairs of Nike Jordan shoes, two Xbox One wireless controllers, an Xbox One console, an Insignia TV and a 47-inch Vizio TV. The items are estimated to total $1,339.95 in value. All items except for the Nike AG boots reportedly were recovered.

Maye was arrested at the home.

N.C. Department of Correction online records show Maye was convicted in 2012 of three counts of felony breaking and entering vehicles. He was sentenced to probation in those cases, but his probation was revoked and he spent more than two years in prison.
